1:1 Counselling and/or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Our qualified and trained psychotherapists provide intensive support for our clients. We offer 6 free sessions. Our clients range from children, teenagers and adults and clients are matched to their therapists.

Themed Walk, Talk, and Empower sessions

Look after your wellbeing with the walk, talk and empower sessions where you will meet others whilst connecting with nature. Start your journey of hiking and learn the benefits of outdoor walking and look after your mental health.

Group Sessions

Ongoing – Knit & Natter, Mondays at Sunninghill School 1:30-3:00pm – Learn a new skill – Knit, sew, craft and swap ideas. Meet and connect with others. Speak to a professional therapist without judgement. Look at different ways of managing stress and anxiety.

Mental Health Awareness Training

This training aims to spread awareness of mental ill-health and aims to break the stigma surrounding ill-mental health. Working with a diverse background and how to acknowledge all types of diversity and differences which can impact a person’s identity and their experience of mental health. This training is available for Schools, colleges and university teachers and lecturers working in primary and secondary schools, colleges, universities and madrasah establishments.

Positive Parenting

This training is aimed at parents/carers and those that need support in effectively communicating with your child in the most effective, positive way. The course will furnish you with practical ways to implement change and see the results you want. It will help you best understand and help your child reach their full potential and be happy, confident individuals focussing on building their self-esteem and self-worth.

Talking therapies provide a safe, confidential space for you to explore your concerns with a trained and qualified professional. Our Specialties

School Counselling

We currently deliver weekly school-based counselling in three schools. Our sessions combine talking therapies, creative techniques, play-based work, CBT, and culturally sensitive approaches.

We support pupils experiencing:

  • Anger and behavioural challenges.
  • Anxiety and mood swings.
  • Low self-esteem and confidence.
  • Self-harm and emotional regulation issues.
  • Family or home-related stress.
  • Lack of focus and academic overwhelm.

Children and Young People

We offer structured emotional and mental health support delivered by trained counsellors. Our youth counselling service helps young people outside of school hours to understand and navigate the issues they face.

Where appropriate, we also offer family counselling to support improved communication and healthier relationships within the home.

Couples Counselling

Relationship counselling (also known as couples counselling or marriage counselling) is a powerful form of therapy for addressing challenges within intimate relationships.

Our therapists help couples communicate more effectively, resolve conflict, and rebuild healthier, more fulfilling connections. Faith-based couples counselling is also available for those who prefer a spiritual or religious framework.

Faith-Based Counselling

Our Islamic counselling service integrates spiritual principles into the therapeutic process. Therapists work with clients in a way that honours their faith and aligns with an Islamic understanding of the self (nafs).

We are committed to delivering effective, culturally appropriate counselling that supports and empowers Muslim clients in a safe and respectful space.

Counselling in the Workplace

We offer confidential counselling services in schools, organisations, and businesses to support staff wellbeing.

Clinical Supervision Services

At Talk Changes, we offer clinical supervision for counsellors, psychotherapists, and practitioners working within mental health, education, and community settings.

Our supervision is grounded in a trauma-informed, relational, and integrative approach. We provide a reflective, non-judgemental space where supervisees can explore client work, professional boundaries, ethical dilemmas, and personal development.

Yes we do.  We will be running events throughout the year for all age ranges, this will be displayed on the leaflets. 

We run events throughout Manchester and Lancashire areas.  

We are based in Bolton, but we hope to run events through Manchester and Lancashire areas, predominantly Balckburn and Preston.  

All our events have to be booked through eventbrite.  If you are unable to attend please cancel the place so this can be allocated to someone else.

Khadija Wadee

Khadija combines clinical excellence with deep cultural sensitivity, offering a trauma-informed, faith-integrated, and relational approach to therapy. Her unique ability to blend cognitive, behavioural, psychodynamic, and humanistic frameworks enables her to tailor support to the complex realities of her clients' lives. She works across diverse client groups, including children, young people, couples, and families. Her leadership extends beyond the therapy room. As a charity director, she pioneers innovative community projects and CPD-accredited mental health training across Greater Manchester. She has designed and delivered impactful programmes in schools, workplaces, and underserved communities, with a strong emphasis on inclusion, empowerment, and resilience. Khadija is also a dedicated clinical supervisor, offering reflective, supportive, and ethically grounded supervision for therapists, trainees, and wellbeing practitioners. She’s passionate about developing future professionals and fostering good practice across the field. With a reputation for being warm, focused, and relentlessly purpose-driven, Khadija is widely respected as a community leader, speaker, and changemaker in the mental health and wellbeing space.

Integrative Counsellor | Workshop Trainer | Head of Therapeutic Services for Talk Changes

Riana Abbas

Riana Abbas is a qualified integrative counsellor with over 12 years of experience across various sectors of the community and professional organisations. She began her career working with the BAME community, offering one-on-one counselling and conducting workshops on parenting, marriage, and addiction. Riana aims to provide faith-based and holistic counselling, educating the community and bridging the gap between culture and Islamic studies. She tailors her counselling to meet specific cultural and religious needs. For the past ten years, Riana has worked as a counsellor in secondary schools, helping young adults manage their emotions and navigate academic and social challenges. She continually develops her qualifications, having gained certifications in play therapy, PTSD, and currently studying Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Riana has also hosted a series of live podcasts with guest speakers, discussing key issues such as body image, stress and anxiety, mother-daughter relationships, and the psychological effects of social media.

Yunus Mohamed

Yunus Mohamed brings over 20 years of dedicated experience to the field of professional counselling. Holding a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Professional Counselling from the esteemed University of Salford, Yunus is a proud registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Yunus also possesses extensive knowledge and expertise in Islamic theology. In 2007, Yunus founded the BCOM Counselling service in Bolton, establishing a trusted resource for individuals, mainly from the ethnic minorities seeking guidance and healing. Yunus embraces an integrative approach to counselling, drawing from a rich tapestry of therapeutic modalities. Yunus offers counselling services in multiple languages to ensure effective communication and cultural understanding. Fluent in English, Urdu, Gujarati, Hindi

Muhammad Pandor

Muhammad Pandor is a dedicated and compassionate counsellor who offers a client-centred and faith-informed approach to therapy. He holds diplomas in both Person-Centred Therapy and Integrative Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), grounding his practice in empathy, respect, and psychological insight. As a newly qualified practitioner, Muhammad brings a fresh and thoughtful perspective to his work, guided by a deep commitment to personal, professional, and spiritual growth. Clients value his warm, empathetic presence and his ability to create a safe, non-judgmental space for meaningful and honest self-exploration. Alongside his counselling work, Muhammad serves as an Imam in Manchester, supporting a diverse and multicultural community. He holds a BA (Hons) in Islamic Theology from Darul Uloom Bury, enriching his ability to work with individuals from a wide range of cultural and faith backgrounds. Muhammad is an emerging voice in the field of mental health with great potential. We are pleased to support his journey and believe he will continue to make a positive and lasting impact in the lives of those he works with.
