Talk Changes Event at High Street Library, Rumworth
Earlier today I attended the Talk Changes event at High Street Library in Rumworth — a fantastic initiative supporting women’s mental health and wellbeing across Bolton.
Talk Changes provides culturally sensitive counselling, workshops, and community activities that help women build confidence, connect with others, and move away from isolation and loneliness. Their work encourages women to speak openly with professionals, get involved in local groups, and take positive steps that improve both health and wellbeing.
From creative sessions to wellbeing workshops and confidence‑building activities, Talk Changes is helping women across Rumworth and Bolton rediscover community, purpose, and support — especially for those who may feel isolated or unsure where to turn.
Today’s session also included the Endeavour Project, who spoke powerfully about domestic violence, how to recognise the signs, and the support available for women who may be suffering or know someone who is. Endeavour provides confidential advice, advocacy, and safe accommodation for those affected by abuse.

Their work also includes the Endeavour Community Hub, which offers drop‑in support, wellbeing activities, peer groups, and practical help for women and families across Bolton. The hub is a safe, welcoming space where residents can access guidance, build confidence, and connect with others in the community.

Huge thanks to everyone involved for creating a safe, supportive space for women to share, heal, and grow. Initiatives like these are strengthening our communities and making a real difference across Rumworth and Bolton.
